ETRO TO DIE FOR!

For me personally the highlight of Milan men's fashion week would have to be the Etro show. In most of the men's collections this season were very much the same in terms of playing it safe and going the conventional route but the Etro show didn't leave the rest of the fashion industry disappointed when they revealed a KILLER COLLECTION and at the same time created awareness to take care of the environment and introduced to us what he calls the Tree of Life. Very light and colourful trench coats were created along with beautiful and very classic moccasin's that made buyers, editors, celebrities and fashionistas go crazy in their seats when they were watching the show. Wonderfully embroidered jackets, pants, shirts and T-Shirts were shown on the Etro runway which I know for sure is going to be a huge trend for spring because their embroidered garments are made with such ease and delicacy.

What really attracted me in this particular collection was this consistency of  colour and I feel that the modern man that's into fashion and looking good wants colour in their wardrobe, and another thing was the print pants that menswear designers can't get enough of this season and I feel were taking a huge risk. The bags were very classic and understated bags that men would carry comfortably and not be inhibited by it.

The whole casual casual tuxedo look really impressed me and because it gave the collection ease and that's what men's fashion is all about 'COMFORT'. If Keaton Etro should go into this direction each and every season like he always does he'll bring in a new clientele while also keeping the old and loyal because menswear designers need to understand that the modern man is not just looking for comfort and neutral colours all the time but wants something stylish with a pop of colour every now and then.
