ETRO TO DIE FOR!
For me personally the highlight of Milan men's fashion week would have to be the Etro show. In most of the men's collections this season were very much the same in terms of playing it safe and going the conventional route but the Etro show didn't leave the rest of the fashion industry disappointed when they revealed a KILLER COLLECTION and at the same time created awareness to take care of the environment and introduced to us what he calls the Tree of Life. Very light and colourful trench coats were created along with beautiful and very classic moccasin's that made buyers, editors, celebrities and fashionistas go crazy in their seats when they were watching the show. Wonderfully embroidered jackets, pants, shirts and T-Shirts were shown on the Etro runway which I know for sure is going to be a huge trend for spring because their embroidered garments are made with such ease and delicacy.
What really attracted me in this particular collection was this consistency of colour and I feel that the modern man that's into fashion and looking good wants colour in their wardrobe, and another thing was the print pants that menswear designers can't get enough of this season and I feel were taking a huge risk. The bags were very classic and understated bags that men would carry comfortably and not be inhibited by it.
The whole casual casual tuxedo look really impressed me and because it gave the collection ease and that's what men's fashion is all about 'COMFORT'. If Keaton Etro should go into this direction each and every season like he always does he'll bring in a new clientele while also keeping the old and loyal because menswear designers need to understand that the modern man is not just looking for comfort and neutral colours all the time but wants something stylish with a pop of colour every now and then.

For the love of COUTURE
Beatifully crafted and very surreal garments blew me away this morning while watching Paris Haute Couture fashion week. Just another excuse to miss class this morning there I was at home watching the Jean Paul Gaultier couture show which I have to say was breathtaking. Fabulous American Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour and my favourite stylist ever Grace Coddington attended the elite show including the fabulous Ethiopian supermodel Liya Kebede on the front row. I have to say dodging class to watch this show was absolutely worth it, the craftmanship was superb and I loved the french music that was played, it was very refreshing. Jean's show felt like I was watching a french musical with chic frocks that have fine luxurious details to it and Jean Paul Gaultier couldn't have chosen a more fabulous and controversial star other than no other Dita Von Teese the burlesque dancer who always makes it a point to attend Paris Fashion Week and especially the couture collections.
I know for a fact that this controversial designer who creates stage outfits for Maddonna and Kylie Minogue will not dissapoint us in September at Paris Fashion Week.
LOVE U GAULTIER.... MWAH

There's a new fashionista in blog town.....IN WITH THE NEW!
FINALLY, I create fashion blog that will change how people look at fashion and style and hope to make everyone love and be excited about fashion and all things fabulous. As a young, trendy fashionista who drems of seeing every single person in this world dress up and make an effort to be to be stylish from the inside out. Looking at the men's fashion week in Milan and Paris which I never miss on my telly every season on FTV was a hit and loving the fact that change is very subtle with men's fashion and colurs remain neutral but an exception had to be made this spring/summer 2011 season as Etro's floral shirts blossomed down the runway creating a very refreshing ambiance amongst the fashion royalty and fabulous eccentric fashionistas, follwed by Dsquared and their witty and fun approach to fashion. This is the start of fabulous and very humorous blogs and I hope that my blogs will inspire and keep your fashion spirits up and most definetly keep you amused at all times. well.... fshionista's keep being forever stylish and remember fashion can be bought but STYLE you have to possess.
